Plato

Plato, son of Ariston of the demo of Collitus and Perictione (Ancient Greek: Πλάτων, Plátōn, pronounced: [ˈpla.tɔːn]; Athens, 428/427 BC – Athens, 348/347 BC), was an ancient Greek philosopher, writer, and politician. Together with his teacher Socrates and his student Aristotle, he laid the foundations of Western philosophical thought.
