Hermann von Helmholtz

Hermann Ludwig Ferdinand von Helmholtz (Potsdam, August 31, 1821 – Berlin-Charlottenburg, September 8, 1894) was a German physician, physiologist and physicist. A true homo universalis, he was one of the most versatile scientists of his time and was nicknamed the “Chancellor of Physics.
